identify a land turtle-help

ellix(augusta ga)June 3, 2007

I need to identify a baby turtle I found. I need to know how to post a pic,(that would sure help). It seems to be a land turtle/tortoise that is all the same color-sort of a dark color but appears to have a slight yellowing on the very top of the shell. On the bottom it has yellowing around the sides with a dark center that looks like a shield and over all are lines that give the apperance of a skeleton. He does not look anything like the yellow sliders I found a couple months back. I have looked on the net for pic.s but have not found him. Perhaps you could send me some good sites to search. Thanks for your help.

barton, thanks for the site but unless as a new born they are very different in color--as in bland/mud color that's not him. I just tried to send a pic with no success. I have Kodak easy share, is it possible to send using it?
