ID flowers?

Elly_NJ(NJ z6)June 27, 2005

Hi,

I visited my old gardens in central NJ. It was quite overgrown.

Thses flowers were growing. I do not recognize them, and was wondering if someone could ID them for me:

Thanks!

Elly

I know I'm probably wrong on this, but the shape of the flower looks snapdragonish. I have no idea if the leaves are correct though. Our wild snapdragons are yellow and much smaller.

I know it's some kind of legume, might be Desmodium canadense

The leaves were very willow-y.

Looks like a vetch, perhaps Vicia villosa.
