cow, sheep or goat? I'm trying to show the difference between wildlife and domestic animals for my program.
This is a very friendly cow or bull at Maas Nursery.
Well, how 'bout domestic ducks???...which should never be dumped into public ponds, but routinely are :-( These are my pets!
Here is a link that might be useful:
There's a goat at my local shelter. I'll try to get a good pic of him.
Thanks! I got what I needed.
Elly, sure hope this goes well for you. I'm hopeful that you can help to educate kids in this regard. Please keep us posted on how the project works out.
Here's a goat pic for ya:
Oh, she's beautiful. Thanks!
I will "debut" the program tomorrow. It's called "Your Wild Backyard." In it I teach about how for many of us, nature begins in our backyards, and how backyards can be ecosystems. I will go over the different habitats in various backyards, and how to find critters if you know what you're looking for. I emphasize the importance of enhancing backyard habitats with native plants and flowers, providing more food, cover and breeding areas.
I also have a focus on the importance of bugs, and how they work in the food web, and I talk about the role snags play in forests.
Thank you all.
