Enormous plant, enormous leaves

OKMorehJuly 4, 2010

I think that this plant has been growing in the garden ever since I bought the property, but prior to this year it just put out one or two medium-sized leaves. This year it has grown to be about six feet tall and four feet in diameter, with some leaves more than a foot long and it's about to flower.

What is it?
