Weed ID please

I don't have a picture as I'm just getting this description from a friend.

But here's what she told me:

leaves are oval about 1" by 1/2" fairly thick, similar to a jade plant. Growth is a spreading groudcover about 9 or 10" tall. The root is fibrous, stems red & fleshy and spread in spider fashion, & very vigorous.

Any ideas? If I had any names I could google them and show her. Thanks.

Yes that fits the description perfectly. She said she pulled out 3 wheelbarrows full of the stuff. I never knew it could be so aggressive!
Thank you for responding.

It's also good to eat - leaves in salad or whole plant boiled like chard.
