Cutting back tomato plants
I have four Celebrity tomato plants that don't know they're supposed to be determinate. They don't even seem to know they're supposed to be semi-determinates because they just keep growing.
They aren't as tall as indeterminates, though. I have one of those and it's growing tall, but only set two tomatoes. One ripened nicely and the other is still growing.
Question: Since the Celebrities and the Creole indeterminate are still putting out suckers, can I let suckers grow up and cut away the older growth and will that refresh the plants?
