I saw this today and really liked the color, but don't want another one like Nicky (black spots on leaves, flowers seem to wilt in the heat).
Would love to hear how this one does if you've tried it?
list zone 4 to 8.
That is a beautiful phlox, Ruth, but I am wondering if it would do well in our heat since it says only to zone 8?
I think it would be worth a try if you find it, but I would definitely put it in filtered sun.
That's a very pretty plant, but no more zone 4 to 8 phlox for me. That kind of zone 8 refers Oregon or Colorado's zone 8 and has more to do with cold hardiness rather than heat tolerance. Nicky's zone 8 leaves have almost dried up to nothing. It's probably gotta' be good to zone 10 such as Victoria phlox is listed as to work in Texas' heat and humidity. To bad since there are some beautiful phlox out there, but I'm just glad we have the ones we do. But we can dream, can't we :-)
