Does anyone here have luck with Tree Collards?

drasaid(zone 8)June 20, 2011

I'd like to know, as I have chickens. It would be a great chicken run plant, giving the birds shade and letting me pull older leaves off for them while the height kept the rotters from their usual destruction of all things green. I have some mulberry I'm going to plant out there too (they can eat the low leaves all they want, the tree will be too big for them to wreck.)

Please let me know.

Where do you get this plant.??? It sounds great. Hard to cover in the winter. I wonder how cold hardy it is.

There are seeds one can buy, but I suspect the best ones you have to get as live plants or cuttings. Looks like I'll have to get it and then send cuttings to all of you! It may be a while
here, anyhow, are some places to get it
