steelskies(5)May 8, 2014

Last year I bought some corn seed, of course don't remember the name...... Weeded, watered, took care of them. I was so disappoinited because the ears were not sweet AT ALL! There are so many kinds of seeds......can someone recommend some. For S.E. WI. Thanks.

I planted Burpee's "chubby checkers" and it was delicious. However, I had some trouble with germination in our cool WI soil. Last year I planted Burpee's "king kool", and I had great germination, and it tasted excellent. I'd recommend it for our area, especially since our soil will be as cool as ever this year.
