I live in a wooded area and have a lot of invasive wild roses, poison ivy, and Virgina creeper (which I love) as ground covers. I want to create a more manicured woodland without as many plants I have to avoid touching. My Grandmother also owns a wooded area with mayapple growing wild. I think it looks great and it is native to my area. She has a very healthy and established colony of it. What would be the best way to introduce it to my yard? Just dig up a few clumps and planted it in areas where I have removed my invasive? How can I increase its spreading speed? I would like it to colonize my woodland undergrowth and prevent other weeds from sprouting.
Thanks for any advice!
