Powdery mildew

I had a question about the mildew, I've heard don't compost it, but would burning my garden at the end of the season kill the mildew?

It happens when there is too much water and not enough air circulating. Burning would kill the mildew.

I've found if I don't let things get too dense, I don't have the problem--even this season with all the rain we've had. Try keeping excessive vegetation in check so that there's air circulation through the plants.
