Slug Situation

itsastart(5)June 25, 2008

Slugs the likes I've never seen! They're not very large, but they are striped, weird... Anyway how the heck do you get rid of these things? It's fine during the day, but after dark... no bare feet allowed... ew!

Dear Itsastart,

Thank you very much for your inquiry. I would not call myself an expert in slugs by any stretch, but I think you could try a product call Ferramol. It has the active ingredient iron phosphate, which is pretty safe on plants. Good luck.

Again, thanks for the question and let me know if you have more.

itastart, you can find 'Sluggo' at any garden center, including the bib box stores. It, too, used iron phosphate as its active ingredient. It's safe to use around you, your family, pets, and wildlife.
