How to find self-published books

Clare(z6 MO)October 27, 2003

I'm a reader, not a writer. I'd like to know how to find self-published garden books. I'm especially interested in books written by collectors of one genus or even one family.

Bookstores might carry some self-published garden books, but if you self-publishers haven't convinced a retailer to carry your books, how else do you make them available? How do I search you out? Because I don't care if such books are written tailored to my own garden locale, I'd like to know how to find them from far and wide.

Have you tried This would be a good start in your search. Also,if you did a search on self-published writers directories, it would point you to some web sites of interest. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was unaware of either.
