When starting a new lawn from seed, when do you remove the burlap or other covering? My new grass seed has just sprouted, but I'm unsure as to when I can remove the burlap.

Dear Emily

Thank you very much for your inquiry. You can remove the burlap or other covering as soon as you can do so without ripping out too many of the plants. Go out and begin trying to remove the cover now and see what happens. You may have to wait 2-3 days and then try again. Good luck.
