Mexican plum?

before I take a bite of this fruit looking thing can somebody please tell me if this is a Mexican Plum? It growing on my farm in east Texas. Thanks Eric

You are correct Eric. That is indeed a Mexican plum. They flower wonderfully in early spring.

ok that's all I need. Due yall recall the ripening time of year? These are still hard. Then again my other plum trees (methley) were the same color as these were when I picked them. Thanks for all the help.
