Red Rocket Crape Myrtle

Does anyone grow this? How do you like it? I'm thinking of putting 3 along my driveway to provide shade from late afternoon sun, wonder how far apart to plant them.

These are upright growers reaching 20ft high and about the same width wide. Crapes are relatively slow growers so it may take 20 years or longer to reach their maximum size. Because of their open growth pattern and being decidious, I have never considered them a good canidate for shade.
