4 yards of compost and soil mix later...

Progress on the creek bed....

It's hard to get a decent photo since it's so long but maybe this will give everyone an idea.

Some of the plants are just place holders from my pot ghetto and the white cups represent ornamental grasses (seep muhly (Muhlenbergia reverchonii)) but adding plants does make it look better.

We spent the entire weekend redistributing the dirt that was dug up when the new walk went it, then adding some nice soil mix to the areas we will plant and compost to the areas that will have the Habiturf mix.

Naturally we planned this several weeks ago, before we saw the weather forecast, so it was a sweaty weekend but we got a lot done.

Now if can just get it all watered in and mulched so we can cut back the landscape cloth that's holding all the dirt, we think it will really improve the aesthetics.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff to spread in one weekend. It's looking good!!! The plants will grow quickly in the compost and soil mix. I know you can hardly wait to start planting. I can't wait to see it when you do.

I'm very excited to start planting it. With the predicted cold front this weekend, I think I'll be ready to start. I have all the plants that I bought on that 75% off sale in July that have done very well living in the 'east side pot ghetto' and this past weekend a few more followed me home and were added to the clan!
