Found the botanical name for a..

plant I grew up with in the Rio Grande valley. A couple months ago there was a thread regarding castor bean. I mentioned that Mother grew Panamanian castor bean. I never knew the botanical name.

I found it while looking for seeds at Onalee's. aka bellyache plant. I remember if the sap got on our clothes, it looked like iodine.

Jatropha gossypifolia

Here is a link that might be useful: aka castor bean

Non-hybrid plant name finding is really tricky! Good job! :)
