Sea Shell Wreath

ozarkginh(8)July 25, 2010

I have been searching the internet and still don't feel I have a good answer.

I want to make a shell wreath diameter abt 14" and LOADED with shells. I have seen pictures of what I want, but am still struggling with how.

Should the base be a styrofoam? If so what type of glue should I use? I am seeing that a glue gun melts the styrofoam.

Thank you so much for your help.

I use silicone sealer on strofoam. Or a low temp glue gun would work. Could use a wood, or other covered ring.

You could use a straw or Styrofoam ring & wrap it with wide ribbon, twisted paper or old fabric torn into strips & completely cover it. Pin it in several places with T pins. Then just hot glue your shells onto that. Post a picture when you are done! Good luck!
