Mosaic - advice on tools for starters

sandip(z5 NY)December 13, 2005

My sister really wants to get into mosaic. I'd like to get her starter tools, etc..., but know nothing about it. Can anyone suggest tools that are good to get started? She's an art teacher, so she gets the craft scene. Any sites that have good materials and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Santa's coming soon!

The tool I love the most is my tile saw. There are tile cutters, nippers, a hammer & a bag.

This may be kind of late with Christmas so close, but here is a link that has all kinds of mosaic supplies. It might give you an idea of things to get for her at a local craft store. In cae this doesn't work, the name of the online store is Monster Mosaics. You can do a search.

Here is a link that might be useful: Monster Mosaics
