Bob_B(Sunset 14, Ca.)Updated Hollyhocks can be annual or biennial, which is to say they may bloom the second year after planting. So if they don't bloom for you this summer, they will do so next year.

hosenemesisUpdated They won't revert to green, and you can pick them off. Lavender does not like to be over watered, so you may want to cut back. Renee

laikaUpdated I've had 4 or 5 and when I did actually did get around to planting one, had trouble with partly sunny areas. onder if it doesn't have to be looked after early on and given more water than I did. any luck?

socksUpdated I leave mine in until they look really ratty, then yank them out. I'm always puzzled at how much they look like carrots, the tops and roots. Linelle, you must have really enjoyed those poppies. Spectacular!

CA Kate z9Updated I have two plants, neither of which are what their tags claimed. One is an orange one-bite size and the other an heirloom with dark red-with-black skin and flesh. Obviously they are bearing fruit and we've been eating both kinds.

kittymoonbeamUpdated Get ready to wait. My 3 year old seedlings have not flowered yet. If you want a super sturdy plant, put it in the ground to make that tap root take off then you wont have to wait as long for flowers.
