stanofhUpdated This time of year-almost February- you shouldnt have any frost problems. What might help is to cover around the base of the tree with black plastic or heavy roofing paper. Mangos hate cold wet soil...once summer heats up-remove.

dicotUpdated I feel the same as Toyo, relief that some rain here finally penetrated the top few inches and energized the wildflower seedlings. And that the soil is soft again for yanking weeds (which are thriving, as usual). More, more!
