CA Kate z9Updated I just used the Pepper Melangé (from a GW recipe), and egg wash, and well-crushed cracker crumbs -- altho' I have used panko too, fried in butter.
Is the whole state burned?

hosenemesisUpdated Hi Anza, That's mildew or mold that is doing it's job of breaking down dead plant matter. Note that the live, green, healthy leaves do not have those spots. Just pull off the dead leaves and the problem is solved.

ladyslppr(z6 PA)Updated I would water the plants until you harvest to make sure that the plants are still as strong as possible while the seeds are filling out. Sunflowers don't require a lot of water, I would think once per week is plenty.
