SMC Zone 5Updated Tom - thank you for the reassurance, The jars did seal within an hour or so, so I'll store them and watch the contents. Very reassuring to take advice from someone who has canned like it's going out of style ... 100 quarts - yikes...

grandad_2003(9A/sunset 28)Updated Yes, I guess you could say it's more "fiddly" than the simple drip method. Early on I used the cheesecloth method....have not tried pillow cases. Even after a 24 hr drip I noted a lot of juice remained in the cheesecloth...
