Do you have anyone who could build something simple for you?

One of the handiest garden items I have is a kid's red wagon. They have them with bigger wheels at places like Harbor Freight (everywhere) for about $50. Ask a friend if they could build on a "high-rise addition" for you. Just a wooden box with a plastic tub that fits inside the top, and a sturdy mesh screen that fits over the ttub. Maybe some plastic-covered hooks on the back end of the box for hanging things, and a small box for cell phone, hand tools, etc.

Just be sure you you decide EXACTLY how tall you want it, wagon and all. A little lower than elbow height may be good.

If you don't have anyone who could build it for you, maybe you could call your local Scoutmaster and ask if building one would earn a young man a merit badge.

Try a TV cart -- the ones made for the older, non-flat panel TVs. I picked one up at auction several years ago for $5 and it's the best thing I ever did!
It's on casters, sturdy enough to sit on and just the right height for potting stuff and for doing crafts and things.
It's very, very sturdy.
Try Goodwill or Target or Wal-Mart. A microwave cart would also work.
I've got another one I bought years ago for a TV/VCR with a cupboard down below. I'm using it for office stuff now but when I get the shelves I want, it will be converted to a planting center.

I saw something at Target last year that I thought would be good. It was built like the tv tray stands we had in the '60's, but was mesh on top. Folded flat when not in use & was lightweight.

They still have them, at least online. You could sit & pot & then wash it off when done.
