You are so right Jenny. the rewards are worth the pain. Like you, I can't move without pain some days. It has been raining here for days. That really does a tune on me. It's only in the low 50's. I planted 7 mini roses the other day during a break in the rain. I was half way done when the rain started again. Determined, I finished but still have another 7 in their pots yet to plant. I HAVE to get out there today, or the roots will rot in their pots. Thank goodness they are own-root roses, or I might have lost them by now.

The neurontin controls the seizures and some of the more extreme pain, vioxx backs it up, and the rest I just endure.

Ate my first tomato today, right off the vine. I have so much squash that my carnivore spouse is starting to panic. Blackeye peas now have pods on them, I have small pumpkins ....

I, too, arrange a series of chairs where I can enjoy from all angles (and in shade in the heat of the TX day). I have large beds of zinnias, jasmine and thumbergia, petunias, strawberries, nicotiana, salvias, roses, and I'm sure a half dozen more I've forgotten.

It's worth the pain, and most often, eases it.

Yes, it is worth the pain just to see the beauty of it all. I can no longer get down on my knees which is the pits, but I just do what I have to do. It takes me so much longer to do anything these days. It is very difficult for me to walk in the grass. I know I have to downsize in the next few years so I am trying really hard to get it started. I never want to just quit...
