I got my kids involved when they were younger 2 out of 3 have gardens & flowers etc.I showed my kids everything. My daughter crochets.My husband did so much with the boys they built thier own homes,repair engines,appliances its great. I wished more kids did garden it very rewarding.

You should try water gardening. It is an excellent way to garden and has many adavntages for those people who have accessibility challenges. The best ones being no digging, mulching, or soil amendments, easy to fertilize,don't have to water daily just fill when it gets low.and many more benefits. You can build a raised pond on very little space. It can be set up on a concrete patio or any surface that has enough enough support to hold it. I am a teen and like to garen and have for a long time. I think it is very rewarding. I am sick though so my mom gets on me about being outside. I have love gardeing because it can just magically take you some where beautiful. I am learing as much as I can so that I can improve my skills. I think that vines and ponds are very interesting and hope that when I own my own house that I will be able to create and oasis of fragrance and water!!!!!!

I don't have any real disabilities, but my dad does, so I know a bit of what that can be like. I just have a very small amount of plants but I think I'm doing well with them; I'd be happy to swap stories or ideas with another gardening teen any time!

Well, I'm not quite a teenager, but I'm close! I'm 21, does that count? LOL.
