First Time Ever Gardening 20109

This is my first year ever and I turned 55 this summer.I have COPD, and require Oxygen 24/7 I planted some tomatoes and peppers in containers. I grew mainly from seed.I learned so much after I started growing from this site Made some mistakes,poor and cheap soil is just that. Have to water ever day once temps are hot. And I should fertilize much more often are just a few.Oh yeah If you buy a giant Red Bell Pepper from the grocery store produce and you plant the seed,you don't get giant red peppers, I am all ready spending most of my time planning next year.I have made winter sow containers to try, have plant markers all cut and ready ,about 30 types of Tomato seed . I guess now I have OCD too, lol. I sure hope I am healthy enough to grow some again next year. Grow On Everyone

Just psyic yourself in that you can do it. I had 2 knee replacements[I can't kneel] diabetic, and arthiritis I love flower gardening and I go do it I also planted 3 tomato plants. I canned 12 pints tomatoes[enough for us] and have tomatoes running out my ears. I do love to eat tomatoes. My friend can't believe I go out and do what I do. I told her well,if you just sit there that will be that much sooner you won't be around. So keep active. I am 78,
