Nice color on this one though and like the way it fades to a paler color at base of petals.

Thanks, Rick--yeah, I really like the color on this one, too--even though it doesn't quite match the photo in Rinoa's catalog. This one is actually more like her 'Violet Heart'. Here's a pic I just took of it under the fluorescent lights.

Marie--sure I have blooms in winter--all my adeniums are under my fluorescent light.....it's 4' long with 12 bulbs, all high output. My room is the warmest in the house. They actually bloom far more reliably under the lights than under what meager sunlight we get during our 2 or 3 week summer.

Definitely ruffled, not serrated. I like the ruffled petals a lot myself--I think it's rather elegant!
