| Hey guys, I bought some seeds from a recommended Ebay seller and they'll be coming in around March. My question is, should I plant them immediately when I get them or wait a few months for warmer weather? They'll be at least one month old due to time of transport and I don't know when it was harvested. Would it be safe to wait? Also, I have a question on germinating. There were mixed opinions on whether or not the seeds should be soaked beforehand. What do you guys think? |

| Hi 54641210d, There are definitely different procedures used for planting up the adenium seeds. All based on trials. I prefer planting the seeds in Jan.-Mar. so that they are 9-10 months going into the winter months when they need to be inside kept warm. I have kept some with supplementary lighting throughout the winter so that they would not go dormant. The second winter I do not use the light with them. You can hold off with planting and it will not be a problem. I do soak mine for anywhere from 2-3 hrs. Typically with the seeds that I have started they usually start heaving the soil within 5 days.
