It seems that it is a fungal issue. Possibly too wet, soil may have neede to be stabilized prior to using. Most times when the seeds are experiencing this type of issue, it is fungal.
If you have a mild funginex product, you could try and spray with it.
Take of the lid if covered and let soil dry back somewhat.
Not sure what. Else to tell you. The mold translates to too wet to me.

I agree with what Rick has diagnosed, and his remedy too but can you post a pic of the seedlings please? One would be really helpful, just to make absolutely sure there is nothing else being missed.

oh also notice that the seeds are fresh... I threw out the other ones this morning (when I posted this topic) because they were soggy and brown

I had the same problem, since that I place the growing media into the microwave for few minutes before planting the seeds, this has reduced the fungus problems almost 100%, be carful once I burned the soil because I left it too much time, it actually caught fire, the soil I use has little pieces of wood

I the photo the soil looks to be very moist. The little bit of yellowing on the one in pot with rock could be also a sign of too much retained water. Just a thought. I do not usually sterilize my soil, but I know there are some that might. I think the big thing is with anyone is if they are kept too wet and without good air circulation. Brings all sorts of problems.
