Help me decide how to prune this plant!

Hi guys, my adenium has just finished flowering, so as far as I know, now is the perfect time to prune it back.

Here's how it looks:

I'm thinking of pruning it like this:

Cuts 1 & 2 are for the main trunk, which currently branches in a Y.

Cut 3 and 4 are similar length branches coming out of the caudex, although 4 is obscured in this picture.

The problem is that I'm not sure what to do with the branches I've circled in white. Should I leave them alone? Should I pinch the growing tips? I have no idea.

Feel free to chip in with advice!
I'll take more photos once I get home, this was the only one I had on hand.

Thanks guys.

I just defoliated the plant so you can get a better look at how the branches are distributed.

Now that I've taken a good look at it, I'm thinking maybe I should prune it down hard.

Maybe like this?

Your plant still pretty young, please don't prune that hard. Cut a few off and let the small branches grow.
Only my opinion.
