If they weren't grafted then the ones with green skin will most probably have white flowers. If they were grafted then it won't matter since only the rootstock would have white flowers but the graft will be however it's genetics is.

Ok I took plants out the pots that they came in, two where severly root bound. One had a big root that grew through the pot drain hole. It was cut by the wholesaler and it took a long time to get the plastic off the roots. I notice root rot and cut they part off the plant. I didn't pot it I let it air dry ( was this a wise move ?)

They look great, Voodoo. You did the right thing to let air dry on the root trimming. I had read some where that for every inch thick of cut should be about a week of air drying. I use that as sort of a guide if I have to do any major root pruning.

As for skin color I think that's just a genetic thing. Like the black RCN or the golden crowns. Of course sun exposure can also effect the skin color variations in my opinion.

I'm not too sure about that green skinned obesums are white flowered....the one I have has green skin and the flower is most definitely red with black edges.

No, it's not grafted--I purchased it as a seedling on Ebay from a grower in Hawaii....it's supposed to be from seed of "Black Fire". It actually used to be more green than it is now....now it's more gray/green because it's gotten much more sun this year.

Many of the Australian growers have commented that the green pigmented caudex on seedlings can mean white type flower, but it is only a possibility, not for sure.
