They may straighten up, but you can plant strait up later on when they are old enough for transplanting.
If leaning due to light source being on only one side can also play a part in this occurring.
Sorry to hear of your loses, but don't let that discourage you.

Wonder why you had so many rotten ones? Were they too hot/too wet I wonder, tell us more about your method and we may be able to help you prevent this from happening again.

well I did order them online so some of them might not have been viable. I soaked them in water for 2 hours, then realised I needed to buy soil....idk how I forgot that. Anyway I put them in a damp paper towel for a day and I think that's what did it. wet paper towel then wet soil. No good. But at least 3 made it! Rick I'm not giving up, I love desert rose. I went to home depot today and bought a really pretty red bride's DR today :-) . Thanks for the replies!

oh and the crooked seeds are starting to perk up :-)
