Adenium dropping leaves after flowering

Hi there, Could someone help me with my poor baby? One of my DR, after coming out of dormancy, then flowering profusely, started setting out tons of leaves. So far so good. They are all planted in a well draining ( 1 part soil to 3 parts perlite) medium, the pot is on the smaller side. Its almost potbound. but lately I noticed that all of a sudden, the bottom leaves are turning yellowish, and they are dropping off. The soil is on a very dry side. I water it almost every 2-3 days ( 37úC in the shade) the caudex is hard as a rock, but on all of the branches, there are a few green "smallish" leaves. Does it need more water? Less water? should I transplant it into a bigger pot to retain more moisture?

Please, any advice would be appreciated, since I am new to DR and your expert help could prevent me from killing my baby!!!
Thanks,
Rosa
