i bought this guy a month ago and pruned it back to remove the persistent red spider mites a few weeks ago. it got stunted because of the storm that took a part on its demise. (i had no other choice but to have it stay inside)
this guy at the plant stall was with some a somalense crispum bonsai form which are worth around 25$-60$. (i regret not buying the other ones)
the wavy leaf margins as you call it was already there prior to pruning it, but if i remember correctly the foliage got more pronounced waves after pruning it.

i have some ferns with plaits in their leaves that get more eevident as they grow
