Rob, many of us have the same problem and we don't know why. Maybe the blooms are too heavy for the small branches?
The older the plants, the better for the blooms to open.

Rob, do you fertilize? Could the plant have bugs? Could it be root bound? How much sun / how are your temps there? Sometimes there is no answer but those might be a few things to check. Could you post a picture so we could see the plant?

I've had the plant about a year. It was potted up into a bigger pot soon after I bought it. I fertilize about once a week. The weather has been really hot, but the nights have cooled off a bit lately. The blooms were pretty small when they died off.

Well the plant looks good and it sounds like you're doing the right things. Give it lots of sun too.

So you have one branch from the mother plant and one is grafted, are both developing blooms or just one?

Marie is right, often there is no apparent reason - your plant looks healthy, just keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Both branches had blooms, and I give it as much sun as my yard allows. I guess we'll wait to see the blooms next year.

Rob, DR blooms twice per year. Normally from May-July and again in Oct-Nov. My plants have less blooms and more leaves second time around.
I hope your plant will do better next time bloom.
