brown leaves on my dr

hi everyone,this is my first visit to your forum. we have a second home in ca's low-desert(indio). shopping at home-depot i spotted a dr (white) and bought it researching it's culture requirements everything i read says they will take all the heat you can give them. apparently all day in the sun isto much the leaves are burned. do they need to get aclimated first. any answers?

Yes they do need to be slowly introduced to the hottest part of the day.
They can take full sun, but full sun without humidity is not the same as full sun in a dry desert climate. This is something you will know.
Many of the Adenium growers in Arizona have in filtered sunlight during the hottest part of the day.
Keep plant in one position and do not turn it, as they caudex (base) of plant can burn.

thanks rick, yes it does get dry and hot. i appreciate your help and i suspected that might have been the problem. i'll try your recomendation. tom
