Bloomnbill, If you want and like the twisted look to the Caudex. The best choice would be the 'obesum',' obesum/hybrid'. Size will depend on price you want to pay or whether you intend to grow it on yourself. If you want something in particular, then best to see what you want. Arabicum will give you a large (girth) caudex, fairly smooth with extensive root formation over time. Somalense, taller with fairly large caudex and root system as raised. Swazicum, unless grafted onto other root stock are otherwise leggy in growth. This from my experience. Rick
