I have been watching these two adeniums develop for this past summer and it is quite intriquing how root stock development and scion growth can be quite different.

The one on the left, it's caudex was quite small and took quite some time for it to begin growing.

The one on the right started much earlier and the root stock and the scion have grown at much the same rate.

The one on the left's caudex has grown, close to double in much less time than the other and it's scion development to me has not developed at the same rate.
Time will tell.
Not sure why these things intrique me, but they do.
