Good on you Karyn. You are preserving a species. These seeds will always be remember as rescued. Many of our native plants are not allowed to be dug up, but can be if the land is going to be destroyed.
They call it "rescuing the plants".

speaking of conservation...
my country has thousands of species of plants that are still not known to the world, where majority of this species are almost close to extinction. it's also sad that only 2-8% of our forest remains untouched mainly because our law doesn't frown poachers with subsequent punishment. this even prompt foreign poachers (mostly chinese) to rally in our country.

Keylen you made a good point. Many people don't realize there even are plant poachers. Most people only think of animals but poachers are having a huge impact on both flora and fauna.
