Also: I did trim some of the roots, not sure if that makes a difference.

Mmmmmh, was just about to say I would water minimally fo a week or so to let it settle in, then read the latest post when you said you had trimmed some roots. Usually if they are main thick anchor roots, it's best to let them dry for a day or so....did you do that? If it was just the thin feeder roots then it shouldn't be a prob.
Hopefully someone with a bit more experience than me will chime in. I would think a very light sprinkle would do no harm. I guess it's still in leaf? Maybe in the meantime, spray the leaves.....

Thanks, greenclaws. They were mostly little roots, couple of them were maybe just over a half-inch to two-thirds of an inch.

I have heard some swear by waiting a week to water, and some always water right after repotting. Personally, if the mix is dry and I haven't cut any significant roots I water right after and haven't had an issue. This is when a very fast draining mix is used. And always wait if you cut big roots.

if you trim the roots, the larger ones, you have to be careful with watering. it depends much on your media though. i've had much better luck leaving them to dry out before planting if i cut roots, then when the wounds have calloused over i pot them and water immediately. if cutting roots and planting then watering, they can rot, except in the middle of summer when they just don't seem to mind. so it depends on your climate as well.
