NEW Update on Rotten adenium tip

Hi Guys,
I had posted earlier in regards to the rotting grafted tips of my adenium plant even after several attempts of intensive trimming. Rick had suggested that the problem might be the roots. I wish I listened sooner since Pagan also reassured me as well.

It is really bad although it didn't look that bad in the pot. I will be surprised if this plant makes. I plan to dry the the "amputated" stump since it has no caudex nor roots. I plan to replant it in pure pumice ( after application of root tone product) and managed it as plant cutting to see if It can be rooted.

I'm open to ALL suggestions

What do the roots look like?

In any case, below is my favorite adenium root-pruning photo that I found on another forum (link below). I have never done anything this radical but we know it's possible! If you have a heat mat, you should put the stump on it while it is rooting. And a really bright light.

I have not done that radical of a pruning, but as Pagan mentions there are many that have done it. Pagan, has more experience with this than I.
I sure hope it works for you.
I am thinking that the little dark area on the right side of caudex (picture you posted of bottom) is the old branch scars?

Its a scar Rick. I checked it and it was firm. I was tempting to cut into it initially. You got great vision:). I will keep you updated
