And where is usually free cheese? ;-)) Cheap come from big box store with the price tag of $2-3 blooming - but - no pizzazz.

Very best violets are in the eyes of the beholder. If you like small ones - you go to violetbarn.com and get yourself some great Rob's semi-minis and minis. or his wife variegated Ma's.
If you like standard size plants with gorgeous flowers - you go to lyndonlyon.com

If you want something vintage or rare - violetgallery.com, bluebirdgreenhouse.com

You can check on avsa.org option "vendors" - and find somebody near you.

Free violets usually come from the members of your violet club - or inexpensive - during their yearly show and sale.

The very best violet - is the one you like the best - and you can get a leaf of the one you want - and grow yourself a champion. The best violet - is the one you grew from a leaf. Somebody's else great violets usually suffer from relocation.
