This is an awesome AV standard that I have had for years, I recently cut the top of it off and re-rooted, in just a few months this is the result. There are more bloom stalks coming up underneath the new ones that are sticking up. The odd shaped leaf in the front is just from me trimming off a brown tip. This is one fantastic plant. I know it is almost impossible to ID violets, but I am hoping for any ideas. The leaves are slightly spooned, a little lighter than the photo shows and the blooms are a little darker purple than the photo shows. It was purchased by my friend sometime in the mid to late 1980's. I am calling it Mary's Mystery after my friend, but I would love to know the name, she said it had one but she has forgotten it.
