Back in August I gave my friend Lenny in NJ my "Rob's Mad Cat", and while I was there last week it bloomed, but it confused us 'cos the bloom didn't fit the description for it at all..

Then I remembered there's a sport of Rob's Mad Cat called Rob's Blue Cat, so I looked it up and sure enough that's the one! The description on Violet Barn's site reads: "Fully dbl. deep blue blooms with darker blue, slightly frilled, edges. Dark, serrated foliage. Excellent bloomer and easy grower. A sport of 'Rob's Mad Cat' that is just as popular as the original from our shop." (Tho I would call the edges dark magenta, not "darker blue" but whatever those descriptions hardly ever read how I'd write them LOL)

So I snapped a pic of it--but it was WAY too gorgeous to capture the true beauty in a pic... But it's a pretty good attempt, I think.
