Yes, the plant can be saved since it has a crown and bit of stem. It just needs to be re-rooted, which fortunately is easy with African Violets. The link below shows how. In the linked example, the crown has actually been intentionally cut off of the stem, but the instructions after that would apply to your plant.

Also on the same site at http://www.violetbarn.com/lessons/violets_by_leaf.htm are instructions on starting plants from leaves. If you have any of the leaves left you could try growing a new plant that way too.
