premature birth? will the babies make it?

One of my mother leaves separated from her little ones. I do not know why this happened as the little plants are way too immature. She did not look rotted , just a little tired. Any help or info much appreciated.

I recently had a mother leaf die, with tiny babies coming. I just bagged the cup, and so far they're surviving. It's worth a try.

I didnt even know this is a question :-) they can grow from seed, cant they? The little guys will be just fine, with proper care.

After doing some more research, no, it is not the same as growing from seed. The babies need nurturing from mother leaf for some time. I do think these guys may be just big enough to make it with lots of care. Only time will tell. Have not been able to find any information why mother leaf would suddenly disconnect. Maybe just a weak leaf.

I have had this occur many times. Frequently the small baby's will make it, but not always. It can take a long time for them to start growing. Good luck!
