Frank -

next time you transplant - remove all the buds and outer leaves. You disturb the roots - and they cannot support the whole plant - you need to reduce the load. As you see - it was not worth saving these buds. Plus they could be full of thrips.

I would remove all the drooping leaves and flower stalks. I would possibly knock it out of the pot and check for the rootrot. If it is rootrot - you need to cut the crown off, remove even more outer leaves - and reroot it. If the roots are OK - I would pot it back, be sure that the soil is barely moist - and bag the plant - and let it recover. In the moist environment with a high humidity - AV's do not lose too much water - and they grow tons of roots in no time.

Good luck - and I think you are right - it is a transplant shock and the plant will get over it. Especially if you help it a bit.

Remove droopy leaves. They will likely never come back again. Put a plastic bag on the whole plant and leave it for a week or two. The extra humidity will probably help.

When i do that and put a large ziploc bag over it, some of the larger, outer leaves are touching the plastic. No big deal?

If it was me, I would just remove the blossoms and the droopy and damaged leaves. As for the leaves touching the plastic bag - no big deal!

I agree with Dragonfly. No big deal - or use the bag you get in a grocery store in a produce dept. Or put it in a fish tank with a lid. The main thing - increase humidity to 80-100%.

And again - remove the droopy leaves and bloomstalks. It will give your plant a boost.
