how many foot candles do av's need?

Instead of working out the math, maybe I should just say that we have some track lighting with GU10 bulbs. How close do my av's need to be to them? They are on the ceiling, of course, but would it be worthwhile to set them under these where they would be about 4' below the track lights? My only south window is quite crowded and I'm looking for another spot. Thanks.

Optimara suggests 900-1100 foot-candles for AVs. This equates to 10,000-12,000 lux (for those that read this later.)
